Georgia's two most recent sculptures are now in the rubber molding phase. The mold will allow the creation of hollow wax replicas of the clay sculptures.

The Downtown Camas Association has purchased a sculpture of Georgia's to be installed later this month as a part of the City's Downtown Art Project.

Georgia began a break from larger public work this past fall to have more time for working on smaller sculptures that she has been wanting to create. She also had a number of ideas sketched out in clay that had been put on hold. The combination of completing this previously started work and her new ideas has resulted in a number of new pieces coming to completion from last fall through this Spring.

Welcome to our fifth annual Holiday letter, where we share news of the year’s doings and feature new sculpture that Georgia has created since our last mailing.

Installed October 17th - just in time for Homecoming. This sculpture is a gift from the combined efforts of several Graduating Classes and the Honor Society of Jackson High.

Sculpture honoring Washoe, the first non human to communicate in American Sign Language, to be dedicated Sept. 22, 2012.

Seattle is home to the Woodland Park Zoo, a leader in wildlife and habitat conservation and science education. Georgia has been a long time supporter and has donated to the annual fund raising "Jungle Party" for many years. This year's auction lit up when an electrifying bidding war broke out for her sculpture "Snow Hare".

We installed Georgia's latest Public Art in Oak Harbor last week. It was the conclusion of a long and interesting selection process, and it was great to finally see it on site.

This is the second in a series of three benches.

Late last year an admirer of Georgia's work asked if she would consider designing a bronze bench. Georgia agreed to explore the idea, so long as she could integrate her artistic style and love of natural forms.

Georgia is just finishing the clay work for a water feature to be installed this Spring at "The Grove at Shrewsbury", an interesting shopping/living community development in Shrewsbury, PA (www.thegroveatshrewsbury.com). The owners were excited by the "Water Frolic" installation at the University Village in Seattle and commissioned Georgia to create a similarly joyful and interactive sculpture.

At the end of February we installed the Seal Twist at "The Village" a newly renovated area on the Main Street of Cannon Beach, Oregon. Here are a few photos and the press release written by Joyce Lincoln of the Northwest By Northwest Gallery, who represents us in Cannon Beach.

We are in the middle of producing two versions of Georgia's latest work, "Snow Hare". The original clay sculpture is relatively life-size. We took that model to a company in Wilsonville, Oregon, (www.additiveworkshop.com) where it was digitally scanned. Using that information, a computer controlled cutting machine carved an enlarged version out of foam.
