New Work Not Yet on Main Site

Georgia began a break from larger public work this past fall to have more time for working on smaller sculptures that she has been wanting to create. She also had a number of ideas sketched out in clay that had been put on hold. The combination of completing this previously started work and her new ideas has resulted in a number of new pieces coming to completion from last fall through this Spring.

Big Night at Woodland Park Zoo Auction

Seattle is home to the Woodland Park Zoo, a leader in wildlife and habitat conservation and science education. Georgia has been a long time supporter and has donated to the annual fund raising "Jungle Party" for many years. This year's auction lit up when an electrifying bidding war broke out for her sculpture "Snow Hare".

Snow Hare and the Enlargement Process

We are in the middle of producing two versions of Georgia's latest work, "Snow Hare". The original clay sculpture is relatively life-size. We took that model to a company in Wilsonville, Oregon, (www.additiveworkshop.com) where it was digitally scanned. Using that information, a computer controlled cutting machine carved an enlarged version out of foam.
